Major Content Update - Social Classes

The ages selection at map start has been removed for social classes. You can select one of 4 social classes of either gender. The classes and their perks are as follows:

Noble:
Starts with higher gold
Can own land
Can gain fame through wealth, doing events (not yet added), and social activities (not yet added)
Fame allows you better mercenaries (not yet added), land and equipment
Cannot have a job

Clergy:
Gains gold based on town happiness
Can hold a job from the church
Access to holy items

Peasant:
+1 to all stats every 4th level
can hold most jobs

Wanderer:
Cannot own a house or have a job
Can pitch a tent
Access to Foreign goods
Starts with class and extra gold
+50g per monster kill
+1 stat every other level


New Jobs:
Exorcist - Banish demons to protect the citizens, though sometimes powerful demons may form and attack instead of just being sent back!

Missionary - Convert the poor uneducated foreigners in the ways of god, and get rid of their silly thoughts of aliens corrupting peoples souls.

General:
Taxes now cause the town to become unhappy quicker
Caused taxes to be taken as a % of the players total assets
if players own more then they can afford to pay for, the king is informed they don't have enough to pay for taxes, and they lose fame
Changed the throne to be captured at 20% instead of 10%
Changed The hero storage error message to display only to that player
Added an outpost to the beach and replaced the mountain house with an outpost
Added gold to exp system for all players
Changed prices of all houses, items and basic skill sets
Removed tier 3 items from regular vendors
Gave Bow and light arrows their own boss in the crypt of the graveyard
Tied jobs to social classes
Made it so players can only own up to 3 houses
Being convicted of a crime causes you to lose your house and furniture
Each job gives exp and has a chance to grant an item at the end of shift
Certain jobs now are more affected by town happiness
Caused the Bar to fill up based on town happiness

Bug Fixes:
Fixed Hydra Glitch
Fixed Mewtwo's event not starting
Fixed the typo in Casper's Cinematic
Fixed the person Casper is talking to from not running in the cinematic

Event:
Made throne invulnerable until Griffith turns evil when he captures it
Added Shadow Step to Demon General
Caused blight to do damage over time to those standing on it

Classes:
Lowered Dragon combo damage to 2xstr a hit
Lowered Raiton: Rai Kou's base damage from 360 to 300 and lowered the range to melee

Awesome, but I have two worries.

1. It's jobs. With this social class system, only peasants and clergies can have jobs, where clergies have 3 jobs and peasants have a lot. My worry is that no one will play peasants because they did so their whole life and almost nobody will have a job. This should affect town happiness.

2. Goods. Clergies have access to holy goods, while wanderers have access to foreign goods. Does that mean that only they can use the items, or only they can buy the items? If only they can buy the items, people will be begging them to buy them certain items, which can be both good and bad.

1. If people don't want to play jobs, I'm done forcing them to do so. Peasants get a sizable combat bonus, so the incentive is there on top of it being the most stable income for exp and gold.

2. Buy, I have no issue with people being the middle man as far as sales go, as it now allows RP as a merchant.

I've got a question. What jobs give "certain items" at the end of shifts? Are we talking anything unique, or do blacksmiths just get a sword to pawn off for a bit of extra dosh?

Edit:

May I also say that this is a huge step forward for the map. You've stopped adding events that go, as far as I have seen, largely ignored or despised and instead have begun enriching the surroundings and the characters. You've added in the ability to start off with a backstory for your character, given numerous new 'hometowns' and you've enriched the experience by having something unique to your game in one, single stroke.

I had given up on FL being anything other than a mess of references to old games, a tribute map guised as an open world RP setting. If it doesn't mean anything to you, it doesn't have to, but I'm saying right now that this last update made me excited for this map for the first time in a very, very long time.

nobles compete for farms which they raise chickens on. They get gold from the egg ability the chickens have.

Good job pity I dont play Warcraft much anymore, looks like ninja has been weakened (just putting rai kou to melee is a massive balance) Still think there should be something opposite the clergy but whatever...

hei Very Happy there is a bug in the beta 3 when dragoon dies with dragon soul all the items (except the spear) dissapears D:

Small question, where I can find foreign goods? Who sells them? Also, Mithril Weapons locations would be useful (I found dagger so far).

You seriously need to remove the mithril weapons from the blacksmith... All wanderers are just buying picklocks and rushing for the blacksmith weapons.
